Remember when we were kids and summer spread before us... three months of relaxation and fun. I'm not sure about you but with the way this summer is shaping up, I would be happy to see two empty days. Luckily owning and working a quilt store has a way of making every day a bit of a holiday. We get to be the first to see new fabrics, patterns, and best of all you our friends drop by to talk about your projects. Starting this summer we will be taking pictures and posting them on our website under a gallery section.

July brings the Southern California Quilter's Run. Whether you visit all four areas or just one shop, the color and excitement is sure to give you some wonderful ideas for new projects. Pick up your shop directions at our front counter, and plan your route now.

In case you want to mentally cool off from the heat: Christmas has arrived at Bolts. Just think gingerbread men, pinecones and visions of snowflakes dancing around your machine. Also new to the store are King Tut threads by Superior and McKenna Ryan thread from YLI.

Look for our booth in August at the Tehachapi Quilt Show. It is held at the same time as “100 Years of Tehachapi”, their Centennial celebration.

Fay, Leith and I will be in San Francisco as you read this at Bernina University our annual convention. Last year the 830 was unveiled. This year we look forward to information on V6 Artista Software, My Label Software as well as other news. Join us on Thursday August 20th for the 820 Party. This 8 Series machine is filled with high performance features like the 830 and is perfect for those of you who are not interested in embroidery.

NEW FABRIC
As for fabric, as always drop in as we get shipments weekly (sometimes daily). Have you seen the new Fairy Frost's by Michael Miller. There are 50 new colors and the last 10 will be in the store mid-May. Christmas fabric will start arriving in June. It's never to early to start on gifts, or a new quilt for yourself. We look forward to seeing you soon.
